Enjoy this sweet treat with friends at a party or with your special someone while watching Netflix.


12 cups plain popped popcorn

1 cup packed dark brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, cubed

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup molasses

1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger

1 teaspoons ground ginger

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons True Kinship Young Bourbon


Take a large baking sheet and line with parchment paper. Spray the paper with cooking spray and set aside. Add your popcorn to a LARGE bowl that you’ve coated with the cooking spray and set that aside as well. In a small saucepan, add your brown sugar, butter, honey, molasses, both types of ginger, cinnamon and salt. Bring all of your ingredients to a boil over medium heat while whisking constantly. Once your caramel boils, allow it to do so for five minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and add baking soda right away (yes, it’s supposed to foam!) Stir in your vanilla and bourbon, then quickly pour over the popcorn (mix this well!!) After popcorn is coated, lay it out on your baking sheet and quickly spread it flat. Allow your caramel to set for an hour, then enjoy!
